About Us ...
The Surf Coast Toy Library is a not-for-profit organisation that provides a wide range of toys, puzzles, games and sporting equipment for children of Torquay & the Surfcoast Shire. It is run by a Committee made up of members who have volunteered. Mums, Dads, Carers, and Grandparents are all encouraged to become members.
Members have access to all toys, which can be borrowed for a period of 2 weeks at a time. All we ask is that toys are returned clean and in good working order. You can borrow up to 4 items at one time on a Single membership, or up to 6 items with a Family membership. Return and borrow toys as many times as you like!
Our toys suit ages from 6 months to early Primary School.
We even have a "Party Pack" which includes a mini-rollercoaster, jumping sacks, egg & spoons for racing, a teeter-totter, and a parachute. This can be hired on a one-off basis for free - please see the "Party Pack" tab on the menu above. A great way to keep the kids entertained at Birthday Parties.

A condition of membership is to assist a Committee member for a Toy Library borrowing session twice a year. Most members really enjoy this as it gives them a chance to look at all the items for loan. Plus, you can bring your kids along to the duty session so they can play all morning with unlimited access to all the toys!
How to Join ...
Just come into the Toy Library during opening hours (Tuesdays & Saturdays 9:30-11am).
Lost or Broken Toys or Pieces .....
Please look after the toys. Please ensure they are returned clean. We understand we're working with kids and some of the toys are a bit rough already. If a piece is lost or broken, try to replace it where possible. If it's not integral to the function of the toy, then we're not too concerned. If the missing piece compromises the toy, we'd usually expect it would be replaced with the same/similar. If in doubt, the committee can discuss and reach a decision
